Policies:

For everyone’s health and comfort, Emilia’s Retreat is a smoke-free B and B. However, guests are welcome to sit outside on the front porch or enjoy the garden space to smoke.

Check in time is arranged with each guest with an afternoon arrival preferred.

Check out is 11am.  Baggage is happily stored while you visit our beloved city on your last day.

A deposit of one night's stay holds your reservation.

Payment accepted in form of personal check, traveler’s check and cash.

Cancellation eight days' prior to the visit will result in a full refund.  There are no refunds for shortened stays or cancellations without eight days' notice.

Pets are not allowed due to the potential allergies of future guests.

Wireless internet is available for those traveling with laptops and printing of boarding passes can be facilitated.

Directions:

The B/Q subway train (station stop Newkirk Avenue) is three blocks away and less than thirty minutes from Manhattan.  The NYC Subway operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week including holidays.  Metro cards are available at subway stations from a kiosk or clerk.  Cards can be purchased for single rides, unlimited day or weekly passes or in any specified dollar amount you wish to purchase.   (See www.mta.info for further information).

Area airports are JFK International, LaGuardia or Newark International in New Jersey.  Travel to Emilia’s Retreat from airports can be by rental car, taxi, or the AirTrain  (See www.panynj.gov/airports/ewr-airtrain.html  or  www.panynj.gov/airports/jfk-airtrain.html  for further information).

Driving directions are available from any number of web programs such as MapQuest or GPS Navigational Systems.  The spelling of Dekoven Court may have a space (De Koven) or be shown as one word (Dekoven). Emilia’s Retreat will email you local directions if desired.
